Tuesday Crime Extravaganza

16/2/2016

A forensic study of footprints in the Swanwick flower beds reveals that Tuesday morning will be dedicated to Crime, exploiting the unique mix of crime experts that we have at Swanwick. Between 9.30 and 10.30 am Michael O’Byrne, retired chief constable and author of The Crime Writer’s Guide to Police Practice and Procedure, Simon Hall BBC crime reporter and author of the TV detective series and Kate Bendelow a forensics expert with Greater Manchester Police take you on a light-hearted trip through the most easily avoided and entertaining mistakes that writers make.

If you are worried you might put your foot it in, check out your plot twist with the Crime Panel. At 11.15, the renegades above are joined by Ian Martin, retired detective sergeant, for a panel that will answer any of your questions about crime in all its aspects.

Wednesday evening speaker announced

Another exciting and very different speaker is coming to Swanwick this summer.  Brendan Nolan first came to Swanwick back in the noughties as a delegate and has since then established himself in Ireland as a leading storyteller.  He will fill our Wednesday slot with Irish charm and magic.
