#AskSwanwick chat with Curtis Jobling

Curtis Jobling
Many of you will remember the wonderful talk, live drawing act and course Curtis Jobling gave us at Swanwick last year. The production designer of children's TV hit, Bob The Builder, where he visualised the programme's characters and sets, will be our next #AskSwanwick guest on 5th August
8pm (BST).

What better way to whet your appetite for Swanwick than have a pro like Curtis answer your questions on art, animation and writing for the YA market?
Early work on Aardman’s Wallace & Gromit and Tim Burton’s Mars Attacks led Curtis to pick up his crayons in 1997 to create the BAFTA winning Bob. The animated series of Frankenstein’s Cat, based upon Curtis’ book of the same name, won the Pulcinella award for Best Children's Show at the 2008 International Cartoons On The Bay festival in Salerno, Italy.  His new preschool show Raa Raa the Noisy Lion can be seen on CBeebies while his original paintings and prints sell in galleries the world over.

His first teen novel Wereworld: Rise of the Wolf was published by Penguin in January 2011 to great critical acclaim, making the Waterstone’s Book Prize shortlist, while the sequels Rage of Lions, Shadow of the Hawk, Nest of Serpents, Storm of Sharks and final novel War of the Werelords have since followed. His darkly comic ghost story Haunt: Dead Scared was published by Simon & Schuster in June.

Don't miss the opportunity and join us on Tuesday, 5th August 8pm (BST). Just tweet your questions using the hashtag #AskSwanwick followed by your question. You can find an easy guide on how to follow and tweet-etiquette here.
