#AskSwanwick: Inside the Christian market

24/3/2015

Have you ever considered embarking on a project with a Christian aspect, perhaps a novel, YA/children's story or a prayer book? In our next #AskSwanwick on Friday 17 April at 8pm (UK time), we have two Christian writers, one from the UK and one from Switzerland, telling us about the secrets of writing for Christian markets.

Our experts are...
Philip S Davies
Reverend Philip S Davies (@revpsdavies) is Chair of the UK Association of Christian Writers. He has served as a Vicar and Priest in the Church of England since 1997 and now writes full-time. His first Young Adult fantasy adventure novel, Destiny's Rebel (Books to Treasure), will be released in September 2015. He has to pinch himself regularly that he's living his dream of being a full-time fantasy author for young people.

Theologian Stephan Sigg (@StephanSigg) lives in St Gallen, Eastern Switzerland. He's a journalist, an author and an instructor of Religious Education teachers. He's penned several spiritual children's, YA and adult books as well as schoolbooks for lessons in religion, such as the prayer books Treibstoff (Fuel) and Echtzeit (Real Time) for young people. He regularly reads at schools and leads spiritual writing workshops both for schools and for adults. He was awarded the Eco.Swisscanto Prize in the category Generation Future at a ceremony in Basel in 2014 for his book series Emmas SchokoLaden (Emma's Chocolate Shop) that's designed to raise children’s awareness of economic and sustainability issues.
