Consider it an early Christmas present from the tweet team: we have a freshly minted children’s and YA literary agent answering your questions at our next #AskSwanwick Twitter chat on Tuesday, 9 December, 8pm (UK Time). Skylark Literary has only been going a month and we have one of the two lead agents ready to take your questions! Amber Caravéo is one of the founders of Skylark Literary – a specialist Children’s and YA literary agency and creative consultancy which opened its doors in November 2014. Skylark Literary welcomes submissions and seeks to find and support the very best in writing for children and young adults. |
Prior to becoming an agent, Amber was the Editorial Director at Orion Children's Books and Indigo for nearly five years, joining Orion from Random House Children’s Books in 2010. Before joining Random house, she was busy developing children’s fiction for Working Partners, including series such as Rainbow Magic, and many years ago she used to create children's titles for a magazine company – heady days when she interviewed stars such as Gordon the Gopher! She has an MA in Children's Literature and has been privileged to work with a host of bestselling and award-winning authors, including Holly Black, Liz Kessler and Caroline Lawrence.
Don’t miss this exciting Twitter chat! Just search for the hashtag #AskSwanwick on Tuesday, 9 December at 8pm (UK Time). If you're new to Twitter, make sure you follow 'all' not just 'top' search results. To ask a question, tweet using the #AskSwanwick hashtag followed by your question. You can find an easy guide on how to follow and tweet-etiquette here.
Selected highlights of each session are available on the Swanwick website a few weeks after each chat – but nothing beats following it in person at the time and asking questions!
Best wishes
Benjamin, Karin, Andrew and Mike
