In March, the TV-Detective Simon Hall – also a long-standing Swanwick tutor – gave us invaluable insight into crime journalism and crime fiction writing. This time, Meg Davis will be answering questions to help you navigate the treacherous waters of preparing your manuscript for submission to publishers and agents, and answer some of those questions about publishing and agents you've always wanted to ask.
Meg Davis represents a range of authors and scriptwriters as well as handling film and TV rights for a number of other agencies. She is also a popular Swanwick course leader. Having set up her own company, Ki Agency Ltd, Meg’s clients include bestselling authors Anne Perry and Simon Scarrow, and authors/scriptwriters Mike Carey, Daniel Depp, Catherine Webb, and Stephen Davis. Meg has also served as Secretary for the Association of Authors’ Agents, and as Co-Chair of the Dramatists’ section of the PMA. Currently, she is on the management board of Public Lending Right, is Chair of the Writers’ Organisations Advisory Group, and is the external examiner for the post-graduate scriptwriting course at Sheffield Hallam.
We're more than proud that such a hard-working and sought-after specialist in her field is willing give us one hour of her precious time to answer all the queries! Just search for the hashtag #AskSwanwick on Monday, 7th April at 8pm (BST). To ask a question tweet using the #AskSwanwick hashtag followed by your question. Our team has put together a short guide to joining in and the chat etiquette here.
