Our hosts since the School began, the Hayes was built in the 1860s as a private residence. Much refurbishment has transformed the venue into a modern conference centre with large, comfortable meeting rooms and conference halls.
The following information will help you decide which area will suit you. A limited number of adapted, wheelchair-accessible rooms are available in Lakeside and Lakeside Plus but we advise that you contact the Secretary prior to booking to discuss your needs and find the appropriate accommodation for you.


Lakeside Plus En-suite
The most luxurious accommodation area at The Hayes, Lakeside Plus rooms have full en-suite bathrooms (shower over bath), a double and one or two single beds, hairdryer and refreshment tray. Rooms are on the ground and first floor, access via lift and stairs. Lakeside Plus is situated at the centre of the complex with level access to the main building, conference and dining rooms. Specially adapted rooms are available which have twin beds and an accessible shower.

Lakeside En-suite
Lakeside is the largest accommodation block straddling Lakeside Plus and extending to a higher level on one side and a lower level on the other. Rooms have en-suite shower facilities, a refreshment tray, and hairdryer. Each has a double bed, and some have an additional single bed, creating a twin-bedded facility. Access via lift and stairs to all three levels. Specially adapted rooms are available which have a double bed and accessible shower.

Main House En-suite
Spanning three levels, en-suite rooms in the Main House vary. Bed arrangement may be single, twin, triple (3 single beds), double or family (double and single bed, or double, single and sofa bed) shower and/or bath facilities, a refreshment tray and hairdryer.
Main House En-suite rooms are not suitable for the mobility impaired.
Access is via stairs only

Main House Economy

Economy rooms are situated on two levels in the Main House have a washbasin, a single bed, refreshment tray and hairdryer. Though room sizes vary, they are generally compact. There is access to bathrooms, showers and baths in the same corridor
Main House rooms are not suitable for the mobility impaired.
Access is via stairs only

Free WiFi is available throughout the entire complex, including bedrooms.
Smoking, including e-cigarettes, is not permitted inside any CCT building.
