Write on Cue
A mad-cap evening of fun-fuelled writing games and prompts. This is a great chance to kick-start your creativity for the week ahead.
Swanwick Speed Meet
and Greet
A fun and informal opportunity to connect with other delegates and put more names to the sea of faces. Light-hearted format for new and returning Swanwickers who are keen to network!
Literary Quiz
This is not a highbrow quiz! Questions could be on Enid Blyton or Jane Austin on Contemporary or Classic, Humour or Horror, with the emphasis being firmly on having an enjoyable evening. Teams (of four to six people) can be made up on the night and it's a great way to meet people.
Poetry Open Mic
Calling all poets! Our 'open mic' session is a fantastic opportunity to share your work with other poets or, if you're not a poet, this is an ideal opportunity to sit back and be entertained.

General Knowledge Quiz
Have fun and test your general knowledge at the same time. Nothing too taxing - no dimmed lights, black armchairs or starters for ten - just an entertaining and wide-ranging quiz. Teams (of four to six people) can be made up on the night and it's a great way to meet people.
Campfire Soiree
Bring your instrument. Bring your songs. Bring your stories. Participation is the order of the evening. Blazing saddles without the wind! Join us at the fire pits – weather permitting. Jo and Andy will facilitate the event, which is all about community and participation.

Page to Stage Performances
Page to Stage is a very popular and enjoyable evening, so please come along and support these special performances. At the end of the evening, you will be invited to vote for your favourites and the Awards will be presented at the farewell on Thursday.
Prose Open Mic
Our Prose Open Night offers a great opportunity to share your work with others. You have five minutes to share your story, or a whole evening to listen to some fabulous stories from others.
Buskers Night
This is one of our most popular evening events. A PA is provided if you need one, and we have a few talented guitar / instrument players who will be happy to accompany you if you wish. If you're not a performer, then relax and enjoy the show.
Meet Your protagonist NEW
New to Swanwick, this session is based on speed dating, but instead of introducing yourself, you get to climb inside your character's head and look out through their eyes. We give you some ideas of topics for discussion and you have five minutes to debate with your character's POV before moving on to face another character.
Fancy Dress Evening and Disco
The theme for our Diamond Jubilee year's Fancy Dress evening is DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER! Prizes will be awarded for the best home-grown costume, and for the best hired costume, so get your imaginations into gear and let's see what you've got! Of course, you're just as welcome to join in even if you don't want to dress up.

75th Celebration Cake-cutting and Dinner
For our final evening, savour a toast to the School on the lawn and see the cutting of our 75th anniversary cake. A celebration dinner will follow to mark the occasion. Enjoy!
Prize Giving and Evening Entertainment
Join us after our celebration dinner for the last evening, where we will award prizes, present 'The Swannies', our very own Oscars for the Page to Stage writers and performers, and draw the raffle. Sit back and enjoy the Evening Sketch before we bid farewell until next year.
