The Venue
The Hayes Conference Centre, Hayes Lane, Swanwick, Alfreton, Derbyshire, DE55 1AU
Our hosts since the School began, the Hayes was built in the 1860s as a private residence. The venue is now a modern conference centre with large, comfortable meeting rooms and conference halls.

The following information will help you decide which area will suit you. A few adapted, wheelchair-accessible rooms are available in Lakeside and Lakeside Plus, but we advise you to contact the Secretary prior to booking to discuss your needs and find the appropriate accommodation for you.
Please note that we cannot guarantee an allocation of specific rooms or specific areas of the Hayes accommodation and will not be made aware of available rooms/areas until a few weeks before the School.

Please provide as much information as possible on your mobility/health requirements regarding your room so we may allocate one best suited to your needs. Rooms can only be prioritised on a health basis and not on preference for a particular location/room/view.
Lakeside Plus En-suite
The most luxurious accommodation area at The Hayes, Lakeside Plus rooms have full en-suite bathrooms (shower over bath), a double and one or two single beds, hairdryer and refreshment tray. Rooms are on the ground and first floor, access via lift and stairs.
Lakeside Plus is at the centre of the complex, with level access to the main building, conference and dining rooms. Specially adapted rooms are available which have twin beds and an accessible shower.
Lakeside En-suite
Lakeside is the largest accommodation block, straddling Lakeside Plus and extending to a higher level on one side and a lower level on the other. All rooms have en-suite shower facilities, a refreshment tray, and a hairdryer.
Each has a double bed, and some have an additional single bed, creating a twin-bedded facility. Access is via lift and stairs to all three levels. Specially adapted rooms are available which have a double bed and an accessible shower.
Main House En-suite
Spanning three levels, en-suite rooms in the Main House vary. Bed arrangement may be single, twin, triple (3 single beds), double or family (double and single bed, or double, single and sofa bed) shower and/or bath facilities, a refreshment tray and hairdryer.

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the entire complex, including bedrooms.
