WIN a FULLY INCLUSIVE STAY at
​The Writers' Summer School 2026
1. Eligibility
Entry is open to any writer, 18 years old and above, and entries must be the original and unpublished work of the entrant which is not currently submitted for publication nor for any other competition or award. There is no limit to number of entries. Entrants retain copyright in their manuscripts.
2. Entry Fees
Fee for each entry is £7 for subscribers and £8.50 for non-subscribers.
3. Manuscripts
Manuscripts can be uploaded in pdf, doc, docx
and txt formats.
Please layout your poems in single spacing with double spacing between stanzas, on single pages of your file, with a front page giving your name, address, daytime telephone number and email address.
4. Competition Judging
Competition judges will be appointed by Writing Magazine and their decision will be final, with no correspondence being entered into.
5. Notification
Winners will be notified within two months of closing date after which date unplaced entries may be submitted elsewhere.
Winning entries may not be submitted elsewhere for twelve months after that date without permission of Writing Magazine who retain the right to publish winning entries in any form during those twelve months.

We are delighted to be working with WRITING MAGAZINE again who are sponsoring THREE FULLY INCLUSIVE PLACES - one in each category - at the Summer School for 2026 - plus some amazing runner up prizes in our writing competition.​
The theme for this year is 'JOURNEY' - which can be interpreted in any way.

CHILDREN'S FICTION:
Up to 1,000 words
